Martin D. Weiss
Martin Weiss received a cultural anthropology Ph.D. from Columbia University and a political science bachelor’s degree from New York University. He also received education in finance and economics by having his father mentor him. He has fluency certifications in Mandarin, French, Spanish, German, Cantonese, Japanese and Portuguese from Berlitz School. Before he returned home to the United States and ventured into the world of stocks, he studied in Japan for two years as a Fulbright Scholar focusing on financial institutions and management techniques. He founded Weiss Research Inc. in 1971. Weiss is now chairman of the global investment group which includes its four subsidiaries. In 1980 he began releasing ratings on HMO’s, insurance, saving institutions, and banks. He is now a top provider of investment information on an array of topics. In Palm Beach Gardens, Florida he co-founded the Weiss School in 1989, and he remains Board of Trustees Chairman. Weiss can be seen on TV overseas and in the US, testifying in front of Congress and presenting at educational forums. He has also worked for the government. He created the Weiss proprietary computer model that beats the competition. He is the editor of many services including the Safe Money Report. Weiss has written two books: Crash Profits: How to Make Money When Stocks Sink AND Soar and The Ultimate Safe Money Guide: How Everyone 50 and Over Can Protect, Save and Grow Their Money.
